Andy Cohen parts ways with the NYC dream house he spent 21 years putting together

Andy Cohen, king of Bravo TV, is parting ways with his gorgeous Manhattan pad after spending 21 years turning four separate apartments into a 3,500-square-foot custom showroom.

Now, he’s putting the gorgeous West Village collection on the market for $14 million — and his friend, celebrity broker Ryan Serhant, is handling the listing, he revealed to the New York Times.

Cohen’s house is the stuff of dreams: a two-story space with natural light, three bedrooms, an office and even a nanny suite. (Cohen is the father of two young children: Ben, 5, and Lucy, 2.)

The interior is a riot of color, from a striped Paul Smith sofa to a denim loveseat. And it comes with many other benefits, such as wood-burning fireplaces, a steam room and plenty of cupboard space.

Serhant, who met Cohen more than a decade ago when he debuted on Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing New York,” was blown away the first time he saw the place.

“Whenever you’re willing to part with this, even if I have to take it out of your control, please let me know. Because it’s one at a time,” he told the Times.

Now, that moment has come. “It’s one of those treasures that you wait your whole career to find something like this that you can bring to market and sell,” Serhant said.

And even several years later, Serhant still finds this true.

“It’s completely one-of-a-kind — everything is expertly curated, and the closet and storage space alone is absolutely unreal and impossible to find in New York City,” Serhant told The Post. “There is light pouring from everything. My favorite part of the house is the 25 windows with unobstructed views. It doesn’t get much better than that.”

The apartment has even been a haven for A-list guests such as Madonna, Sarah Jessica Parker, John Mayer and Kelly Ripa.

But when the pandemic hit in 2020, social gatherings ceased and Cohen and Serhant bonded over something else: their oldest children, who were born just weeks apart. (Serhant has a daughter named Zena.)

“Our relationship changed a few years ago when we both became fathers,” Cohen told The Times.

During one of their blocking matches, Cohen casually asked Serhant what he was going to list the house for. This was the question that Serhant had been waiting for throughout his career.

“It’s like walking into a magazine,” he said.

Cohen’s decision to sell was not easy, but he found a new dream – a penthouse just 4 minutes away with 3000 square meters of interior space and a 2000 square meter terrace.

“It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” Cohen said of his new home. “I had to get it.”

While Cohen’s former home is on the market, there is speculation that it could also star in an episode of Serhant’s Netflix show, “Owning Manhattan,” which was recently renewed for a second season.

When asked, Serhant played coy, saying, “Bravo and Netflix might have a problem with that… but it would be like Deadpool and Wolverine, real estate-style. It’s basically the two of us.”
